Tracheal adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC). (a) Photomicrograph (original magnification, ×100; hematoxylin-eosin stain) of the resected tracheal mass shows tumor cells (arrowheads) that have replaced the anterior portion of the tracheal cartilage and involve the pericartilaginous soft tissues.
Abstract. Twenty-seven adenoid cystic carcinomas (ACCs) of the head and neck in 27 patients were evaluated in a retrospective study based on findings at magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and pathologic and clinical examination. Clinical follow-up was obtained over a mean period of 6.3 years (range of follow-up, 3 months to 17 years); all patients underwent one to seven MR examinations.
Adenoid cystic carcinoma in the oral cavity is an uncommon salivary gland malignancy that has a propensity for perineural spread. A high-grade variant is evidenced by an abundance of pleomorphic cells, loss of the classic biphasic epithelial-myoepithelial growth pattern, and comedonecrosis, as well as elevated Ki-67. Mammary adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare subtype of breast cancer with a favorable prognosis. Here we report on predictors of outcome based on a detailed morphologic review and analysis of 108 mammary ACC. Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast (ACC) is a rare tumor, comprising <0.1% of all breast cancers. It has a unique dual-cell pattern and is indistinguishable from ACC arising from salivary tissue. It is a low-grade tumor with favorable prognosis, and rare metastasis, with unique features. Thymic carcinoma with adenoid cystic carcinoma-like features (TCACC) is an extremely rare subtype of thymic adenocarcinoma, and this condition was first reported by Di Tommaso et al in 2007.

Treatment Based on the diagnosis, patients with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma should have a MRI of the head/neck to check for a recurrence throughout their lifetime. MRI also has the advantage of being free of radiation. T1-weighted images of normal parotid have an image signal intermediate between fat and muscle, whereas Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is an uncommon form of malignant neoplasm that arises within secretory glands, most commonly the major and minor salivary Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, Submandibular Gland.

Although many patients die within 2 to 3 years of the onset of symptoms without appropriate treatment, adequate therapy should lead to survival of 10 years or more. The radiologist should make the initial diagnosis by noting the tumor, which is frequently located …
Objective: The purpose of our study was to describe the imaging findings in adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the breast, with pathologic and clinical correlation. Materials and methods: We retrospectively searched our surgical database from January 1994 through December 2008 for cases of pathologically proven ACC of the breast.
